During his tour in the province of Basra, south of Iraq Secretary-General of Al-Hakim Foundation H.
Eminence Ammar Al-Hakim visited the office of Archbishop of Chaldeans and discussed with
father Imad al-Banna, the representative of Cardinal Emmanuel Delly, in Basra
Ammar Al-Hakim discussed the various conditions to maintain the conditions of people, particularly
the Christian community.
The two sides stressed the need for communication between the communities in order to reflect
the reality of coexistence and harmony and love among all Iraqis. For his part, Father Imad
Al-Banna, considered the visit of
H.E Ammar Al-Hakim, as distinct sign of promise.
H.E Ammar Al-Hakim also visited the Sabian Mandaean leaders in Basra.
He met with Sheikh Raad Zuheiry - the top leader of Sabian community in Basra- to discuss the
situation in Basra, particularly Sabeans Almendaiion.
The two sides stressed the importance of communication at various levels, including documents
and links vital relations.
Zuheiry described the visit of H.E. Ammar al-Hakim as historic visit.
